Convenient export function for Octave and MATLAB. This function prints a figure to an image file and adds optional metadata (if supported by the file format). For optimum results, it prints to a vectorial image file and converts it to the desired format by calling the system program 'convert' from ImageMagick/GraphicsMagick suite.
